We decided it was about time to try and make more good information available to people and families trying to decide where to go to treatment. There seems to be a real need for people looking for the right, best drug alcohol rehab program to measure which ones are better than others.
As a treatment center ourselves, Malibu Horizon is always interested in ways of gauging our performance and improving the level of care we provide.

| Marworth | 4/6/2012 | 7 | I believe that progress was the main focus at the Marworth Treatment Center in Waverly, PA. The staff was friendly, but focused on pushing you and not pampering you (thefix.com). There was down time and less to do on the weekends; still there were at least 2 AA/NA meetings even each and every day, along with other informational sessions, small groups and recreation/gym time. The one thing I wasn't ready for was the notion that I would have to get off the suboxone I was currently on before arriving. I wasn't aware it was a total detox program and the method in which they detoxed was way to abrupt/fast for someone like myself that was on it for a few years and hadn't relapsed on opiates; my main issue at the time was benzo and alcohol abuse/addiction. Other than that one qualm, it was very nice as far as rehabs can go. I've only been to one other in 2002 and I wasn't held as accountable. It is also expensive if insurance doesn't play a role for the patient; they do sometimes have scholarships available. |
