LSD
Lysergic acid diethylamide is a very potent hallucinogenic substance that was first manufactured by the Swiss chemist Albert Hofmann, who was working for Sandoz laboratories. LSD appears as a white, odorless powder. However, these quantities are not necessary to induce LSD’s psychoactive properties due to its high potency. Hofmann was able to synthesize LSD in 1938, but his discovery didn’t produce the benefits he expected in his lab animal tests, thus, the discovery was shelved for the next five years. It wasn’t until the 16th of April, 1943, that the hallucinogenic properties of LSD were discovered.

Marijuana
Marijuana is used throughout the country; after alcohol, it ranks as the second most prevalent in recreational drugs being taken. Marijuana was probably first used in some of the Asian countries, though there may have been different ways in how they were using it. In 6000 B.C., some of the marijuana seeds are used in China for food. Methamphetamine

Meth, a member of the class of drugs known as amphetamines, is a psychostimulant and has a notorious reputation for its significant abuse potential due to its euphoria-inducing properties.

Norco is a brand name for the combination of Hydrocodone (an antitussive and narcotic analgesic drug) and Acetaminophen (an antipyretic and analgesic drug). Norco is prescribed to relieve moderate to severe pain.

Opioid

OxyContin
OxyContin is a potent narcotic used to treat moderate to severe pain. OxyContin is one of the brand names for a specific formulation of oxycodone, which is related to codeine. OxyContin is sometimes used as a substitute for heroin. The active ingredient of OxyContin is merely Oxycodone, which is an opium derivative also used in Percocet and Percodan. The street names for OxyContin are oxy, oxycotton, killers, poor man’s heroin, OC, blue, OX, Hillbilly Heroin and oxy 80.

Percocet
Percocet is the brand name of an opioid analgesic drug manufactured from Thebaine, called Oxycodone. It is a class of drug used to relieve pain. Oxycodone is one of the many drugs derived from opium poppy. The cultivation of opium poppy was first recorded in Mesopotamia in 3400 BC. It was passed from one generation to another until it reaches our time.

Ritalin
Ritalin is the brand name of the medication methylphenidate. Ritalin is a prescription drug that stimulates the central nervous system, and is used to treat Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder or ADHD. Ritalin has effects similar to but less potent than those of amphetamines. Ritalin is used due to its calming effect that reduces impulsive behavior.
