It’s not what you’ve seen in movies
Relax, drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers are not like the drab cement buildings you see in movies. Malibu Horizon is as far away from this stereotype you can get. In fact, if you put in earplugs and took a walk around our rehab clinic, you’d probably think you’re in a hillside resort. You won’t be fed gruel or be told to “shut up” at anytime during your stay at our drug and alcohol rehabilitation center.
Will there be manual labor or tortuous exercise sessions?
No and no. Although some rehab clinics, especially some that cater specifically to adolescents, may believe this is a good treatment approach, we at Malibu Horizon don’t practice this. All the drug addiction help you receive at Malibu Horizon will be at your own pace, specially-formulated for your needs and circumstances. We’ll never march you outside like military trainees or make you dig a latrine. You’re an adult, not a prisoner.
What’s the timeline?
Much of what determines your length of stay at our addiction treatment center is on a case-by-case basis. It depends on how much drug addiction help you require, how long you’ve been abusing substances, as well as what damage this has caused to your emotional, social, and physical health. Depending on the type of treatment you choose and the treatment plan created by our treatment staff, our rehab clinic could last anywhere between one week and 30 days, with aftercare programs, sober living and relapse prevention efforts extending beyond that.

From the very beginning of your time at our drug and alcohol rehabilitation center, we’ll be designing a treatment plan for you that will continue after your time at our addiction treatment center concludes. This practice ensures that you return to your professional and personal life with the tools necessary to succeed, and the resources available to live a happy, healthy and drug-free life.
