Drug treatment from drugs and alcohol is different from a normal medical treatment in that it is an ongoing process that must continue in order for the medical problem not to return. Individuals seeking long-term recovery must participate in their personal drug addiction treatment process in order to ensure their health and sobriety. Once the substances are removed from a person’s body in the initial process of the drug treatment which is know as drug detox, each individual must stay committed to the recovery treatment process in their mind, body and spirit. At Malibu Horizon we offer a number of different drug treatment programs that offer options to individuals seeking relief from drug addiction and alcoholism. Our personalized treatment options set us apart from other more traditional programs and we have had great success thus far. We use a combination of personal and group sessions, meetings with doctors, alternative therapies and daily life skill building exercises to encourage the growth and strength of our clients’ recovery.

We also promote the creation of healthy friendships in the early stages of recovery because this helps individuals share openly and honestly and can help serve as a foundation for support systems in the future. We can accommodate your needs whether you decide you would like the ongoing support of a sober living environment or need only to stay for a short time. During a client’s stay at Malibu Horizon he or she is assigned a drug treatment counselor. The purpose of the drug treatment counselor is to help individuals in their quest for positive behavior modification and our beautiful, but structured living environment is critical to the type of lifestyle that is free of drugs and alcohol. Residential treatment programs are a great starting place for long-term sobriety and we are proud to offer a treatment program that can offer such individualized services and treatment options.

This special treatment program environment makes drug treatment much easier and is very beneficial to the treatment program process. The drug treatment process focuses on getting the client back on track in all aspects of life, and these programs teach how to maintain a healthy, happy life free from drug abuse and addiction. While our program can range in length with normal periods of time being 30, 60 or 90 days, our clients are welcome to stay as long or as short as they feel is necessary in order from them to benefit from our treatment program. All of these elements work together to help the recovering drug addicted patient re-enter daily life physically, mentally and emotionally prepared to make better life choices, without using drugs as a coping mechanism.
